When it comes to shopping, one of the most important things is managing your budget. Deciding when to splurge and when to save really depends on what you want to have, but also what is affordable. One of the best things you can do is to mix and match – splurge on some designer pieces, but save with some non-designer. If you’ve been following my blog you know I like to splurge on timeless pieces such as handbags and shoes but love to save by buying less expensive clothes. For me, the problem is I get tired of my clothes fast – one day I’m obsessed and a couple months later I’ll get tired or bored of it. As a result, I like to lay off spending tons on clothes. Of course I do like to spend more on certain pieces such as leather jackets and party dresses, but I think it’s all about being a smart shopper. So for today’s post I wanted to show how I like to mix my designer and non-designer pieces! As you could probably guess, my dress is non-designer, from H&M. I absolutely love H&M, it’s one of my favorite places to shop and I’m a huge fan of their ‘Studio’ and ‘By Night’ Collections because it is their more high end line. This cute number is from their ‘By Night’ Collection! I was immediately drawn to this dress because it reminded me so much of a dress from Dolce & Gabbana’s most recent collection I fell in love with, without the heavy price tag! Now for the designer pieces of the look: Gucci Heels and Tom Ford Sunglasses. Since I have a huge obsession with shoes and sunglasses (like most girls) I like to have a nice variety of options. So I do buy a ton of cheap glasses and non-designer shoes, but I also think it’s great to splurge and invest on a great pair of heels and some hot sunnies! Sometimes you want to think quality over quantity, especially with classics that will never go out of style! If you’re lucky, you can even snag some designer pieces at a discount. I always like to stay up to date on department and designer store sales and sometimes even check out stores like Nordstrom Rack or Saks Off 5th to see if I can find some steals! Sometimes these places can be a little overwhelming or hectic, but if you take your time and look around, you’ll be surprised as to what you can find! Ultimately, you don’t have to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks – be smart with how you spend your money at the mall. When you mix and match you get the best of both worlds! Plus, no one can reallyyyy tell the difference between a $100 tee and a $20 tee 🙂
Don’t forget to keep checking back here each week as I post my favorite save, spend, and splurge looks of the week!

I totally agree with you ’cause I think when you mix designer pieces with non-designer pieces people won’t realize that some of them aren’t designer pieces 🙂
